What is good drinking water
Good drinking water have specific physical and chemical properties that make the water good to drink and health for the body.
An important property of the water you drink is the temperature, a too high or too low temperature can disturbe your stomach and lower your internal body temperature beyond what is healthy. However, in hot weather and by hard physical work, cool water can refresh the body.
Usually water somewhat cooler than a pleasant room temperature will be the best water temperature to drink, but this will vary according to season. In the winter one will prefere a warmer drinking water that in the summer.
An important property of the water is the amount of dissolved oxygen. When there is much dissolved oxygen in the water, it tasts much fresher than water depleted of oxygen. Water have greater ability to dissolve oxygen when it is cold than when warm. Warming water to the boiling point will take away much oxygen from the water, and make it taste dull.
The drinking water should be free from bacteria or other germs or have a content under a certain minimum. Other types of dissolved foreign substances can increase or decrease the water quality according to the type of substance.
Some substances can make the water tast better or worse. Some substances can be bad for the health. Other substances are nutrients needed in small amounts and can thus make the water healthier.

Many housholds have dangerously high energy costs. It is also an important issue nowadays to keep the use of energy low, to lower the outlet of greenhouse gasses into the air.
