Female sexual anatomy and physiology
The female vulva consists of the following parts: You have the outer lips (labia majora), the inner lips (labia minora). Between the uppert parts of the labia minora, you find the clitoris. The clitoris has a hood or prepuce, just as a man's penis. This hood is actually fused together with the top end of the minor lips.
Further down between the minor lips, you have the urethral opening, and furthest down the vaginal opening.
The clitoris have two erctile bodies in the inside, just as a man's penis, and these erectile bodies continue deep inwards at both sides of the vulva, the corpora cavernosa. Therefore the clitoris and the vulva can engorge just like a man's penis.
The female sexual organ, the vulva (pussy, cunt) is actually very variable. The clitoris is very variable in size and shape. Nearly no variation is abnormal. It consists of a shaft and a head cowered by a foreskin just like a mans penis. The clitoris may be tiny and buried between the labia, or may be greater, have a shape more like a penis and protruding outward, and also having a foreskin very like that of a man.
The head of the clitoris is very rich in nerve endings, and is the most sensual part of the whole female anathomy. The sahft is somewhat less sensual. Many women require clitorial stimulation to orgasm, but the head is sometimes so sensual that the shaft is the better stimulation point. In order to stimulate the clitoris properly, a finger or the tongue tip is often required. The most used intercourse positions do not stimulate the clitoris very well, or at least not directely.
The inner lips may be thick or thin, may extend from the very top of the vulva to its other end, or may be shorter. They may protrude outwards or may be hided between the outer lips. One labium may be greater than the other.
The urethral opening between the inner lips is difficult to see, and it may also be hided somewhat inside the vagina.
The mucosal walls of the vagina is not very sensitive, but the muscular layer under it is a source of sexual sensation, espesially when the vagina is filled and streched by a penis or some other object.
During the first years of psychonalysis, there was the erronouos notion by doctors and psychologists that a immature girl had clitorial sensations and could get orgasms from this, but then during psychological maturation the sensation shifted to the vaginal area producing the ability to get orgasms form vaginal stimulation, and only through this.
Nowadays the notion has shifted to the oposite equally wrong extreme, that a women can get pleasurable feelings and orgasms only through clitorial stimulation.
Actually a women may have sensations in every part of her pelvic anatomy, including her whole vaginal area and also her anus, and this has nothing to do with maturation. However- in adition to her clitoris there is also another peek area, the g-spot.
The G-spot is located about two inches inside the vagina, on the front wall, and just behind the pubic bone. The tissue there is different from the rest of the vagina. It feels slightly textured and somewhat ridged, as opposed to the smoothness of the surrounding skin. Feeling for a difference in skin texture is probably the easiest way to locate the G-spot.
The G-spot is a part of a formation that continues forewards around the urethra, and towards the clitoris, and is continuous with the clitoris. This whole structure between the vagina, around the urethra and towards the clitoris has a spongy tissue containing rather long bundle of nerves. This formation resting around the urethra is called the urethral sponge. The spongy appearance is due to a network of blood vessels that has the ability to be filled with blood and engorge.
Some women can reach their own G-spot, others find the maneuvering difficult and prefer to have a partner, or a toy, stimulate the area.
You may also in the litarature find other descriptions of the location og the g-spot, for example descriptions locating it deep inside between the vagina and the anus. These descriptions are not wrong, because there are many exiting sensual places in a women`s (and also in a man`s) anatomy. They only differ about what area that actually deserve the name g-spot.
